Special Merits Transfer Ceremony was held on
Monday 26th April 2021 in The United Kingdom to celebrate the life and yeoman service of
Most Venerable Dr Dickwelle Tissa Anu Nayaka Thera,
deputy prelate of Amarapura Siri Saddhammawansa Maha Nikaya, Founder of Damsathara TV Channel, Head of Matara Wevurukannala Budu Raja Maha Vehera and Kalavidu.
Departed Anu Nayaka Thera is the Head teacher of our resident monk, Most Venerable Dickwelle Seelasumana Thera. Our resident monk, Most Venerable Dickwelle Seelasumana Thera was residing at our temple in UK and does a great service at this pandemic time sharing his knowledge and life experience to support to the community spiritually and morally. He could not go to Sri Lanka to attend the funeral due to travel restrictions. Therefore, Letchworth & Miltion Keynes Buddhist Centres organized this special merits sharing ceremony to mark the seventh day pinkama wishing Anu Nayaka Thera The Bliss of Nibbana.!
Special Remembrance Merits Sharing Ceremony to mark the seventh day was organized by Most Venerable Akurala Samitha Thera, Head Monk of Letchworth Dhamma Nikethanaya Buddhist Centre and Milton Keynes Vihara together with all the devotees and members of both vihara.
This special ceremony was honoured with the participation of eminent Buddhist Monks representing all Buddhist Centres in the United Kingdom. We would like to offer our deepest gratitude, respect and blessing to all the Most Venerable Maha Sangha for gracing this blissful meritorious occasion.
We take this opportunity to thank you for all those who very kindly attended. Without which this would not have been a great success.
